Marker Process

Why True Aim Works

Step #1

Is the putt straight or does it break? If it breaks, which direction? Right or left? If the putt is breaking to the right, then you will use the marker lines on the right. If it is breaking to the left, then you will use the marker lines on the left.

Step #2

Using the process of elimination, is the slope you are putting flat (1st angle) or steep (3rd angle)? If flat (1st angle) is chosen, next question is whether the putt is flat (1st angle) or average (2nd angle)? If steep (3rd angle) is chosen, the next question is whether the putt is steep (3rd angle) or severe (4th angle)? Once the angle is chosen, place the ball in front of the marker, and align the ball line to the selected slope angle.
